Xumo Wins Digiday Streaming and Video’s Best Distribution Strategy Award

Every year, Digiday, a leading publication in the media and marketing industry, honors the companies, campaigns and technology modernizing streaming and video through its 2025 Digiday Video and Streaming Awards. And for this year, we're thrilled to announce that Xumo has been selected as the winner for the Best Distribution Strategy category.

Xumo's winning strategy, as selected by Digiday's industry-leading panel of judges, was anchored by becoming the first in the industry to integrate FAST channels into traditional pay-TV channel guides, allowing customers to browse between paid TV channels and free streaming channels powered by Xumo. This was a milestone moment for both the FAST and pay-TV industries and ultimately benefits video viewers.

As part of its distribution strategy, Xumo had already partnered with major streaming services and platforms, like Samsung, Roku and Google TV, to provide them with a robust catalog of FAST channels. By adding pay-TV platforms to the mix, such as Xfinity, Cox and Sky, Xumo introduced premium FAST channels to a new segment of customers seeking greater value in their TV subscriptions. This expansion also enabled content providers to reach wider audiences, boosting their engagement and monetization opportunities.

The Exclusive FAST Pipeline for Comcast’s X1, Cox’s Contour and Sky Q

Xumo started by partnering with Comcast’s Xfinity to integrate our O&O FAST channels directly into the linear guides of Xfinity X1 and the Xfinity Stream app. With these enhancements, all Xfinity customers had access to these channels as part of either X1 or the Xfinity Steam app. This was a milestone moment for both the FAST and pay-TV industry, setting the stage for much more growth and innovation and becoming a key part of Xumo Enterprise’s growth strategy.

In 2024, we continued momentum by adding more FAST channels to Xfinity’s experience (there are now over 100 channels integrated into the guide) and partnered with Cox and Sky to begin integrating FAST channels into their linear experiences.

In addition to distributing FAST services via the Xumo Play app and to other distributors via Xumo Enterprise, Xumo also provides devices – Xumo TV and Xumo Stream Box. Powered by Comcast’s global entertainment platform, Xumo’s devices feature a world-class user interface with universal voice search capabilities, making it easy for consumers to find and enjoy their favorite streaming content.
