Xumo’s Ying Wang Named to 2025 Top Women in Media & Ad Tech List

Xumo's GM of Advertising, Ying Wang, has been recognized as a 2025 Top Woman in Media & Ad Tech for her achievements in building and leading Xumo Advertising.

Ying Wang, Xumo’s General Manager of Advertising, has been announced as a 2025 Top Women in Media & Ad Tech by Ad Monsters and AdExchanger, an award that recognizes and brings together women who are making an impact in the greater digital media and advertising technology community.   

 

Ying was chosen in the Entrepreneurial Achievement category, which honors women who have launched or rebuilt brands or companies and continue to work tirelessly towards their success. 

 

Ying exemplifies entrepreneurial achievement, having built and led Xumo Advertising from its inception to a thriving part of the Xumo joint venture in less than a year’s time. She has been pivotal in shaping strategy, driving revenue growth across its rapidly expanding inventory, and establishing Xumo as a competitive force in the streaming industry.  

 

Under Ying’s leadership, Xumo has successfully implemented a robust advertising strategy that spans Xumo Play, Xumo devices, syndicated FAST channels, and third-party content partnerships. She has architected a revenue model that balances direct and programmatic ad sales, ensuring sustainable growth and scalability. 

 

Accomplishments during Ying’s brief tenure include playing an instrumental role in a landmark partnership expansion with Google TV Freeplay, positioning Xumo as a key monetization partner for one of the largest FAST offerings in the industry. Also, under Ying’s leadership, Xumo secured a strategic partnership with PubMatic. This collaboration expanded programmatic access to Xumo’s premium inventory, providing advertisers with enhanced targeting, transparency, and efficiency in the rapidly evolving streaming landscape.
